Our room were clean and the Kanchenjunga view from room was awesome. Overall, our experience at Chaso Eco-Retreat Home stay was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm welcome and attention to detail that the hosts provided. The homestay was located in a picturesque countryside setting, surrounded by lush greenery and scenic views. The well-maintained gardens and beautifully designed interiors created a serene and calming atmosphere that made me feel immediately at ease. The hosts were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. This is the "HOME STAY" for you if you want to meet a wonderful family from Pelling and to experience the real taste of the "local dishes"! I booked my 2 N stay based on the previous reviews and my experience with Mr Dup and family was far beyond my expectations. I am not repeating the reviews regarding food and sceneric views as it's already mentioned multiple times by the previous reviewers. (But I must say that the real surprise was the chicken dish prepared by Dup himself!). Please try yourself and thank me later. I would like to narrate my personal experience during the two days of stay... I reached around 7 30pm on Day 1 and the property is around 300 mts from the main road which can be covered by any vehicle disregard of it's ground clearance. But my driver wasn't willing to experiment. Dup's dad came to pick me and family from the main road with his vehicle. Next day also Dup dropped me back to the main road where my driver was waiting. Last day my driver came down easily with his swift dzire to pick me back to airport. The family hosts only limited number of guest each day to make sure they won't compromise the quality of care. Apart from the main dishes they serve tea/coffee at appropriate timings. (I recommend you to spend more time at dining area than ordering food/ drinks to your cottage. Also please mention in the evening how much rice/ chapati you need for dinner, as they are so generous in serving the food and you end up wasting a lot at the end). Don't forget to taste the local drink served by the host before dinner!! My flight was in afternoon so I had to check out early in morning and Dup already kept my breakfast ready and packed for me well on time. My 5 year old daughter made a special bond with Dup's 2 year old son and they both had a wonderful time together during the Day 2 dinner time. Overall you will get that "family wali feel" which you expect from a good quality home stay. Talk to the host directly and book the stay than going through the 3rd party websites, you will save lot of money. Highly recommend if you are planning to visit Pelling!!!

My appreciation post to chaso home stay run by Dup and his family! Chaso home stay is located in pelling, West Sikkim! Not so commercial part of Sikkim! Everything about this place is great! Food, mind blowing location and warmth of our hosts! Absolute heaven for pet lovers! I fell in love with Bob, Tyson and Changey! Best part of chaso is the location where we get to see Mt Kanchanjunga so close from the balcony and our room with an attic! Kids had lots of fun in the attic room! Traditional home grown and organic food! Last day we had a bonfire where we were served traditional Sikkim drink "Chaang" a fermented kodo Millet drink! Love the conversations with Mr Dup about his engineering days from Chennai! The only thing is the approach to the home stay is a little hard! But they say " The roads to heaven are not always easy" and this experience goes straight into my memory Bank!!
