a month agoI recently spent 3 days at Welcome Homestay in Yuksum, West Sikkim, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for a place that feels less like a rental and more like visiting family, this is it. The highlight of our stay was the incredible hospitality. The owner, Apeng Ji, is an amazing person who goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are comfortable. His entire family is involved in making the stay special, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that you just can't find in a hotel. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked fresh by the family. The Apeng Ji’s wife and daughters were heavily involved in the cooking process, and you can really taste the love and care in every meal. It felt like a genuine authentic local delicacies experience. Chiring, Apeng ji's son, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to show us around and guide us through the nearby places like waterfalls, making our trip much more adventurous. And I can't forget Ripthing! He is absolutely adorable and totally won our hearts with his sweet greetings. We’re already genuinely missing his famous "hann jii"—it was the highlight of our mornings! Highly recommend Welcome Homestay to anyone visiting Yuksum. The combination of great food, a wonderful family, and a genuine personal touch made our stay perfect.

a month agoThis was the best homestay I've stayed in within such affordable prices!!! Genuinely loved the place and people so much. It's run by a very sweet family who will take care of you like you belong. I'm not even kidding, I'm definitely going there every year just to unwind and soak in the positive energy. Highlight - they have bunnies, dogs and cat! A bonfire place! A swing! A beautiful setup outdoors for drinking! And place for people who want to camp! Gosh... Started to miss the place just by typing all this.

3 months agoWe recently had the pleasure of staying at welcome Homestay and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of [location], this cozy home provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Location: The homestay is situated in a peaceful, scenic area with easy access to local attractions, making it ideal for both relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re looking to explore nearby trails, visit local markets, or just unwind, the location strikes the perfect balance. Host: The highlight of my stay was definitely the warm hospitality. Apeng Bhutia went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and at home. From the personalized welcome note to the thoughtful local recommendations, it was clear that the host truly cares about their guests' experience. Accommodation: The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. I particularly loved the large window with a beautiful view of the garden" or "comfy bed and fresh linens"]. It felt like a true home away from home. The shared spaces, including the kitchen and living room, were well-maintained and inviting. There was also free Wi-Fi, which was a nice touch. Amenities: The homestay is fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to complimentary toiletries and even a small library of books, it felt like all the little details had been thought of. I also enjoyed the peaceful garden area, perfect for morning coffee or an evening stroll. Overall Experience: I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The homestay provided an authentic, personalized feel that you just don’t get at larger hotels. The combination of comfort, charm, and thoughtful touches made my stay memorable. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the area and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming place to stay.

9 months agoHad an amazing stay at Welcome Homestay in Yoksum, West Sikkim! The food was super tasty and felt just like home. The room was clean and comfy, but the best part was the owner and his lovely family — they took care of everything and even took us sightseeing and on a short trek. It’s a bit remote, but that peaceful isolation is exactly what we needed. If you’re looking for quiet, nature, and warm hospitality, this place is perfect. Highly recommend! Truly a GEM 💎
