Yuksom Welcome Homestay – Homestays Sikkim

I loved their hospitality. Food was great. Their behaviour was polite. And they have cute dogs to play with. It was a memorable stay. Thank you "Welcome Homestay". I got some saplings of flower and fruit from there. That will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Owner: Mr Bhutia and his family members were one of the best hosts during our Journey to Sikkim. They took care of us like their own family. We built a strong bond just in a single day. They are very nice and sweet people. Food: Mrs Bhutia cooks delicious food and most of the food items are grown in their organic farm which is inside the location only. We got one of the best food services there which was the same as our home's food.....delicious, hygienic and with many varieties. Location :It was the best spot to stay in our entire 8 day journey in Sikkim. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature, it is the best place for someone who is looking for peace and serenity and of course, one who is a nature lover. Animals: They have 5-6 pet Dogs, Goats, rabbits and various birds. We had a great bond with all of them specially with the dogs. Thank you for the awesome hospitality and food. Highly recommended

We did a 8 day trek to Kanchenjunga with Host- Apeng Bhutiya, owner of Welcome homestay in Yuksom, Sikkim in October of this year 2024, it was wonderful! The host was extremely professional and took care of all of our needs, without being intrusive.His knowledge of the flora and fauna of Sikkim is first class and i found his company very enjoyable , the cook was first rate and the porters were also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, I don't think you can do it better with than Welcome homestay.

I recently had an incredible experience at Mr. Bhutia homestay. He organized the Goechala trek for us. The entire journey was seamless, thanks to our fantastic guides, Clen and Yakman, who were not only knowledgeable but also made the trek enjoyable and safe. They shared insights about the local culture and nature, enhancing the experience. The food throughout the trek was exceptional; we enjoyed hearty soups, great lunches, and satisfying dinners that kept our energy up for the hikes. The meals at the homestay were equally impressive, making it a true culinary delight. The kitchen helper was a standout, always ready to assist and ensuring we had delicious meals to refuel after long days of trekking. His sincerity and helpfulness truly made a difference. Overall, the hospitality and support we received made this trek unforgettable. I highly recommend this homestay for anyone looking to explore Goechala!

I will always remember this place. My friend and I were here for over a week, but could have easily stayed for one month. The family is so friendly and generous; they made us the most lovely dinners every night with fresh vegetables from the garden. The surroundings are very calm and peaceful; you will hear lots of bird sounds and chanting from the temple in the distance. They have really cute dogs and a cat too. It all felt just like home.
