Our recent stay at this homestay was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality extended by Mr. and Mrs. Bhutia was truly exceptional, making our visit to Yuksom a memorable experience. Despite being a small village, the homestay offers a range of activities and comforts that exceeded our expectations. We started each day lounging on the hammock, soaking in the serene surroundings, followed by a delicious breakfast near the campsite, complete with breathtaking views of the mountains. Evenings were equally delightful, spent around a cozy bonfire under the starry sky. The food deserves special mention—it was simply outstanding, prepared with organic ingredients that added a fresh and authentic touch to every meal. Mr. Bhutia went above and beyond to arrange a jungle trail trek for us, which was a fantastic adventure and a highlight of our trip. Whether you’re looking for a short getaway or a longer stay, this homestay is an absolute gem. Its combination of natural beauty, thoughtful amenities, and warm hospitality makes it a must-visit destination.

I recently had an incredible experience at Mr. Bhutia homestay. He organized the Goechala trek for us. The entire journey was seamless, thanks to our fantastic guides, Clen and Yakman, who were not only knowledgeable but also made the trek enjoyable and safe. They shared insights about the local culture and nature, enhancing the experience. The food throughout the trek was exceptional; we enjoyed hearty soups, great lunches, and satisfying dinners that kept our energy up for the hikes. The meals at the homestay were equally impressive, making it a true culinary delight. The kitchen helper was a standout, always ready to assist and ensuring we had delicious meals to refuel after long days of trekking. His sincerity and helpfulness truly made a difference. This is one of the best places you can stay while you are in Yuksom. The rooms are good, bathrooms are clean and the entire homestay is beautiful. Mr. Apeng Bhutiya grows his own fruits and vegetables that he serves to his guests. The meals his wife cooks are delicious. We had the best time at their homestay.
