6 months agoOne of the best homestays we have ever stayed at - such a gem. Location wise: It is a gorgeous extremely quiet location in the mountain village of Dethang with amazing views of the valley mountains, mt Pandim and Kanchenjunga. There is a beautiful trail that takes you into the small town of Ravangla and the Buddha Park - takes about 45 mins with a slow incline upwards through mountain farms and forest. There is also a trail to an amazing hidden waterfall with a pool of freezing Himalayan water that you can dip in! We also hired a car for the day and visited some beautiful monasteries as well as the Borong hot springs 🥰 Hospitality and food: The family that run this place are absolutely wonderful! The three sisters are all so cute and proud of what they are creating which made the energy of the place really, really lovely. Their parents and grandparents are also so sweet. They have a whole organic farm along with goats, cows and chickens which they are working on in the day. Which means all the food they make is super delicious, fresh and healthy. We had special pickled radish, fresh cottage cheese and butter, greens and yummy chicken. They also made us plenty of delicious cups of tea with ginger and other spices and snacks. Thank you for making us feel so cosy and welcome. Really recommend staying in a place like this over a place in the town as both breakfast and dinner are included and some of the best food we have eaten in Sikkim. Views were incredible, so peaceful and homely 🗻💖

a year agoThis was one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. It had an amazing view from the common patio area. You could see far into the distance West Sikkim. The food was amazing and the hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The afternoon snacks were a nice bonus. There are trails (shortcuts) nearby. I took an amazing trek one day to Buddha Park. The trek was beautiful along the way. It wasn't easy for me but I very much appreciated the exercise and challenge of getting there. I hope to come back and stay here again!

8 months agoWe had a very nice stay at the homestay. Lovely walks in the surrounding area, very hospitable host with very delicious food. Beautiful views and peaceful quiet stay. It is a bit outside of Ravangla but there is a nice walking path that takes 30-40 min to get into town from homestay. Highly recommend the homestay
