a month agoThis homestay truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts were incredibly kind and warm the kind of people who make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. I got so attached that leaving was honestly hard. The food was absolutely amazing, so comforting and delicious that I ate better than I do at home. Every little thing was perfect, from the care to the atmosphere. I’ll always remember this place and will definitely come back again. Highly, highly recommended.

2 months agoOur stay at Yarlung Tsangtar Homestay (यरलुंग त्सांगतर होमस्टे) in Ravangla was the highlight of our Sikkim trip. The rooms were amazing and very comfortable, but what makes this place truly special is the family. Aunty, Uncle, and Brother are incredibly kind—they treated us just like family members. The food is 10/10! They practice organic farming and grow all their own vegetables. You must try their momos and the squash root dish—they were absolutely mind-blowing! They even let us take some of their fresh organic squash home with us. The location is perfect as most of the major tourist spots in Ravangla are very close by. We felt so much love and warmth here that we are already planning to go one more time. If you want authentic Sikkimese hospitality and fresh organic food, this is the place.

a year agoThis farmstay was a delightful surprise, situated in the middle of a beautiful forest and neighbouring farms, surrounded by home grown vegetables and cardamon fields. Our incredible hosts were eager to show us around his farm and explained his traditional organic farming practices. This produce was then made into absolutely wonderful meals for us to try. We loved our culinary adventure! A warmer and more welcoming family could not be envisioned and we were instantly part of their family. We were also driven around their village and introduced to their local monastery. Our room was super cosy and comfortable with plenty of space. The home itself was so ambient and had a wonderful homely feel. Like a home away from home for sure. Definitely the place to stay near Ravangla. Memories of their care and hospitality will not be forgotten.

2 years agoWhere do I even start? Amazing hospitality, a cozy stay, and an experience of a lifetime. We stayed at the homestay for New Year’s, and it was undoubtedly one of the best ones. The place is located in the midst of a forest, surrounded by beautiful farms. The best part of the stay was experiencing the culture with the amazing hosts. From trying out local millet beer and homemade traditional food to learning how to make dumplings, enjoying poker nights, partying around a campfire, and exploring a hot spring with the hosts, it was truly an experience of a lifetime. I could write more, but words wouldn’t do justice to the wholesome experience we had. I would rather say we came as strangers and left as family. P.S.: I would definitely recommend staying for a longer period to get the best out of your trip. It’s truly a rejuvenating experience

2 years agoStaying at Yarlung was like finding a hidden gem in the mountains. The family there, they weren't just hosts; they were more like long-lost relatives welcoming us home. Their smiles and genuine warmth wrapped us up in a sense of belonging from the start. The food, oh, it was pure magic! Those meals crafted from their homegrown veggies tasted like a celebration of nature itself. And celebrating New Year with them? It felt like joining a big, loving family reunion. The laughter, stories, and shared moments created an atmosphere that's hard to put into words. But what truly made it extraordinary was the way they opened their hearts and lives to us, sharing their traditions and stories as if we'd been friends forever. It's not just a place to stay; it's an experience where the people and their kindness become a part of your own story.
