3 weeks agoI stayed at Yangzom La Home Stay for 1 night and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. While the location is beautiful, the staff's behavior and lack of basic facilities made it feel more like a burden than a home away from home, the staff seemed disinterested and unwelcome. When I arrived, it took a long time for someone to even acknowledge me, and when I asked for some basic amenities like toilet paper, they seemed put off and told me it wasn't available. I had to request multiple times for extra blankets, and even then, they were thrown in with a 'whatever' attitude. They claimed it was a homestay, so I shouldn't expect hotel-like facilities, but basic cleanliness and courtesy shouldn't be too much to ask for. the food was stale, and when I asked for something else, they said they weren't a restaurant and I should manage with what was given. Seriously? I understand that Zuluk is a small village and things might be basic, but treating guests with respect and basic hospitality is a must. Yangzom La Home Stay failed on that front. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. Look elsewhere.

a month agoThe behaviour of the staff is absolutely unacceptable — they are rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. This place is far from what anyone would call comfortable or enjoyable. The rooms are dirty, smell awful, and basic facilities like a geyser aren’t even available. The overall hygiene is terrible. The hospitality is equally disappointing; they clearly don’t understand how to treat guests with respect or courtesy. Honestly, this homestay should not be running — it’s a complete waste of money and a horrible experience.

a month agoHad to stay here for the night owing to my 2.5yr old daughter's sickness and vomitting while coming down from Nathula. But the sudden stop here for the night was worth of it. The rooms are very neat and clean so are the bathrooms. It seemed they recently had renovation. The homestay is right on the Zuluk road. The rooms large wide windows open to scenic mountain views. The food is delicious and staffs are very polite and gives a homely feeling. The stay costs 1200/head per day as of 25.10.2025.
