5 months agoOnly two or three rooms have good mountain view. Rooms are clean though. Food is not good. Quality of the food is quite bad compared to other homestays. Geyser is not always working. Behavior of the staffs is okay.

4 months ago⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Visited on: 2nd June 2025 We stayed at Smiley Homestay in Padamchen during our Silk Route trip, and it was a very comfortable experience overall. The rooms were excellent — clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully arranged for a peaceful night’s stay in the hills. The hosts were courteous and ensured we had everything we needed. The food quality was also good, freshly cooked with a homely touch. It felt more like eating at a family home than a commercial stay, which we truly appreciated. However, it’s important to note that Padamchen itself doesn’t have any specific sightseeing spots or attractions nearby. It mainly serves as a transit halt between Zuluk and other destinations along the Silk Route. So, while the stay was very pleasant, the location may feel uneventful if you're looking to explore. That said, for a calm overnight stay with good food and a clean, cozy room, Smiley Homestay is definitely a reliable option in the region.

2 months agoIf you're staying in Padmachen for 1 or 2 nights, this hotel comes highly recommended. It boasts excellent hospitality, well-appointed rooms, and delicious food. The peaceful ambience around the hotel further enhances the experience.

11 months agoAmazing homestay! Great view! And the staff there are very homely and friendly. The lady there was so warm and welcoming. We had a great conversation with her. The food is amazing too. But hospitality is top class here. This is the best homestay in our entire East Sikkim tour.
