Rongay Gangtok Homestay

One of the saddest places we've ever stayed in India, an embarrassment to call this a hotel! And a bad first impression, since this was the first hotel we stayed in arriving in Gangtok. To begin with the toilet flush did not work and neither did the geyser and it's 1°c in the room! Then the tv did not work and when the tv was fixed, the tata sky set did not have credits and there was nothing to watch on it! Then he gave us another room which had algae in the water jug and filth and dirt in the heating kettle!! But this room at least had a tv set with WiFi. BUT THEN THE WIFI DIED AND they didn't fix it!! For dinner we wanted chicken and the caretaker HARJIT said we'd get WHATEVER WE WANT. Then he said there's no chicken and only egg or veg is available. Knowing he had guests coming in, they did not prepare in advance and to give us a starter of Gobi Manchurian it took him an hour and it tasted sad. So I told him to cancel whatever else we ordered and we got Zomato. Another revelation, these people disconnected the wifi and said it's been broken down, just so we'd order food from only them, as there is nothing else around and there's no signal here either, so we couldn't use mobile data to order food online. So we were forced to order their SAD FOOD. And once we ordered their SAD FOOD, THE WIFI MIRACULOUSLY CAME BACK!!? The food they served tasted sad! Overall very bad experience with Hotel Mountain Bliss. DON'T STAY HERE! Book closer to Gangtok town and actually enjoy yourselves, because the people here are really friendly and genuinely want to help. Sikkim is really awesome! ❤️

Good accommodation. Well maintained rooms..Nice location.. Awesome food. Nice place to stay for a Sikkim trip. The owner is so friendly and co-operative.. He can suggest the trip plan and arrange vehicles as he knows the place very well. The owner is available all the time and he'll quickly respond to any issues we have. I haven't heard *No* from him for anything...

A nice place to have a calm vacay with family and friends, away from the crowd and noise. Timely service and understanding staff. The rooms were pleasant and well maintained mountain view,water falls view rooms. Food was comfortable and delicious.

This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Gangtok. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the Hotel Mountain Bliss offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out.

Great place to stay at Gangtok. Well behaved staff and Fantastic views. Food is tasty.
