Stay with a local Sikkimese Sherpa family in one of the beautiful villages called Okhrey where you have your own private room attached with a bathroom with hot and cold water running.

Since the host families are very welcoming, the service is beyond anything you can get in a hotel and get to taste local cuisine prepared in firewood and get to know much more about the culture and the languages of the area.

Okhrey is largely known for its natural beauty like the close view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and it is also known for the gateway of the famous Redhodendrum sanctuary called Barsey which is just a kilometer distance to hike from the homestay.
