Mudhingum Homestay

I had a truly memorable two-day stay at Mudhingum Homestay. The host had a wonderful personality, and I had the opportunity to spend some beautiful moments with them, including peaceful morning walks and a visit to a local temple. I would especially like to mention the food they served — it was absolutely mouthwatering and incredibly comforting, making the stay even more relaxing. I found the peace and calm at this homestay that I had been searching for in the mountains.The host also helped me plan my itinerary for my next destination, and I’m truly thankful for all the support and hospitality. This beautiful things made my trip special. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and authentic stay in Darap.

I stayed here for one night with my family members and had a truly wonderful experience. The room service and food were excellent, and everything was very well maintained. The hospitality was outstanding — from the warm welcome on arrival to the courteous farewell. The host takes great care of the guests and ensures comfort at every step. Being a retired government officer, his discipline and professionalism clearly reflect in the way the place is managed. I genuinely felt well taken care of and would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for comfort, quality food, and heartfelt hospitality.

We truly enjoyed every moment of the stay. I have never seen the host himself introducing the guests to other neighbours. It was really a good grace from him. I appreciate the way he explained us about their culture and way of living. We look forward for one more visit to this place and stay longer for relaxation. Definitely I will bring my daughters and wife next time

I had a wonderful stay at Mudhingum Home Stay in Darap village, Sikkim, hosted by Padam. The hospitality and service were truly excellent. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all necessary facilities thoughtfully provided. The kitchen was warm and inviting, complete with a cozy fireplace that added a lovely homely touch. The hosts were extremely warm, welcoming, and made us feel like part of the family. The food prepared was absolutely delicious and tasted fresh, homely, and authentic. Although we stayed for just one night, we genuinely wished we could have stayed for a few more days. A perfect place to relax and experience true Sikkimese hospitality. Highly recommended!

This homestay is located in an area called Darap, not Pelling. From there, you won’t get a view of Kanchenjunga or even a particularly good hill view. It’s also a bit interior compared to Pelling and quite expensive. Staying in Middle Pelling or Upper Pelling would give much better views. Overall, it’s not worth it. Waste of money!!
