Our family vacation at Martam Village Homestay was very memorable! The rooms were kept very clean & the host was very accommodating of our food requests. There is a Library with very good collection of books on varied topics! The exceptional hospitality provided by Shri. Pema, the Host, is unforgettable! We will always cherish our sweet memories of our stay there! Fantastic place to go & stay!
Visited the homestay for a day in May 2023. Very very well maintained property surrounded by greenery and solitude. Views of the surrounding nature from the terrace as well as dining room balcony, sounds of the chants from the nearby monasteries, gives you such a refreshing, soothing feeling. The host Ms. Yishey was an extremely pleasant person, arranging local cuisines for our lunch in a short notice, sharing various books on Sikkim, and suggesting treks and birdwatching activities. Would love to return and stay here!
Top notch. We had occasion to stay at around 4-5 properties over the course of our week long trip and Martam Village Homestay aced the ranks there phenomenally. The owner is cordial, efficient and a well read person who’s also authored books on Sikkim, which makes her a go-to person for any kind of travel related info one would want to know of.
We visited Sikkim for 6 days and spent the last 2 days in Martam Village homestay. The location of the homestay was great, our tour guide organized a trek to the waterfalls and lunch at the village. The rest of the time we spent in the homestay - homestay is super clean and comfortable, dinner was fresh (local produce) and very good! Yishey was great, she cares that you enjoy the trip and helps in whatever way she can - directions/guidance to what you can do around the area, food to suit etc. Thanks Yishey.
