Dzongu Lee Home Stay – Homestays Sikkim

I was in Sikkim for 10 days altogether, and the 2 days staying with Rinjong and Her family were the highlight for sure. She speaks excellent English, and has a very good knowledge of all things about her country and the Dzongu area of central Sikkim, the beautiful heart if Sikkim. We walked the mountain tracks, drove up the local valleys and the remote tracks up towards the Mighty Kunchenzonga or Kunchen chu as it is known to the Lepcha original residents of the Heavenly Dzongu region. Whether it is the wide variety of Butterflies, or the majestic valley views, bathing in the thermal pool or under a pounding waterfall, everything in this region is stimulating to all the senses. Everything Rinjong cooked was delicious, and fresh from the forest. As a vegetarian I was fascinated by what she produced. It seems every plant and tree gives some sort of vegetable or fruit, and the flowers, including a wide variety of Orchids, attract birds, insects and butterflies to add to the beauty found everywhere. I slept well, the bathroom was clean, and was made to feel totally at home. Rinjong had worked for many years with the Sikkim Tourist dept. and has a good understanding of environmental issues, and sustainable tourism for the benefit of the local people. I had a beautiful experience at Dzongu, North Sikkim i suggest to stay at LumTshering Farm Stay at Lum and enjoy the traditional stay with pure organic foods with beutiful Environment

Spent a night here. Rinjong is a great host. Delicious food, you must ask for her thukpa for lunch and poori with pumpkin sabzi for breakfast. The views are amazing! Will definitely be back to spend more time here.

Dzongu lee, home stay is situated in upper dzongu.north sikkim. This home stay is best for nature lover.we can enjoy view of mountain, hills, waterfalls and also get 2 learn the culture of tribal people(lepcha)...everything is unique there in matters of folk ,arts,culture...this home stay is best for nature lover and ethnographer....people are so helpful and Frank..you never feel like u are outsider...

I just spoke to the hostess for a possible stay/other activities in May 2018 . I am very impressed with her very precise answers to every question I asked .. I am sure something will happen there for a large group as ours . Cheers .
