4 weeks agoWish I possibly could have given a zero (0.00) for this home stay. It is my ernest request to all not to go there. The location of this homestay is absolutely in middle of nowhere. There is nothing around and the access road to the village is terrible. The access road which is narrow and winding are gravel roads with the main access to the entrance are steep flight of stairs. The owner Amrit Sharma is the most irresponsible person running the business. The reason I am saying this is,because, when I had booked the homestay for staying there for 2 nights on 13th and 14th of June , 2026, based on a reference , without knowing fully about the reality of the location, and called Amrit ,he picked up the phone at once and since then everytime I called, his response to my calls were in a ratio of 1:5 . Not only that he pretended to be very busy and don't have time to talk. On the day he knew we were arriving after trying him several times managed to get hold of him when we were at Rangpo I.e border of Sikkim and he mentioned that he would send us his sister's number who will be at the homestay and its exact location. That never came to me till today (29th June) . Regardless, we drove along and up the terrible rough steep hilly road where our GPS guided us to. The gravel road became narrower and narrower and along our way we kept on asking the villagers where the homestay is. They kept on directing further up and away. We stopped where GPS took us showing tge location. It was wrong. We had to climb up along steps and walk the foot track through bush for about 200 metres to find a wrong house. The occupants of that house told us to keep on going for another 300 to 400 metres to reach this homestay at the end of the road. Finally when we reached there we could not go to the homestay because with our luggage it was impossible to climb up more than hundred of steep, wet, slippery stairs and then a walk from there. We called the owner several times and nobody picked up the phone. So after travelling for 4 hrs from Dooars to this no-man's land where the car had cost us Rs.6,500 we eventually could not go to this homestay and had to return back.To our shock and dismay the owner did not even bother to contact us when he found that we never arrived. The driver of our car was extremely kind enough to drive us back to Singtam and get another car organized for us to go to Gangtok. The person who referred to me was Raj Basu, a very old acquaintance, who himself is the founder/director of Help Tourism and I really didn't expect this from a person like him. I will request you all to BE CAREFUL before you book this homestay. Most horrible experience I ever had in my life.

7 months agoFar above our expectations. We found a gem of a person ‘Jaideep’ who happens to the local guide. We had such a nice time with him. The views from the property are exceptional. The food, the culture the hospitality is truly remarkable.

7 years agoOne has to do a somewhat tiresome trek on a steep trail from the road, not at all suitable for elderly people. The view from the homestay is, however, awesome. Maintenance is very poor. Food served is tasty but often less in quantity.

5 years agoMind blowing. If nothing else, visit this property for the hanging deck and cherish mouth watering, heavenly, exquisite.........super duper delicious veg dishes. Trust me you will be simply blown away. Being a hardcore non-vegan, I am saying this
