With a 10-day itinerary, you can select your days.
Day 1
Pick up from Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station and drop at Naturestay; after 150 Kms/5 hours of a scenic road trip through the mighty Himalayas. Welcome drinks/Reception ceremony/Check-in formalities.
Day 2
Local excursion(by car)including Tenjin-Hillary Memorial Park, Kagyu Monastery, Trout Farm, Titanic Park & Uttarey town/ local market.
Day 3
The day begins with the nature trail amidst village & forest to the small but powerful stream Parvati Khola*. Spend a few hours at the river bank & explore the old cable bridge, rainwater harvesting storage, etc & finally the day ended up with attempting fishing with locals.
Day 4
Full-day excursion(by car)to Pelling. including Kanchenjunga falls, Khecheopalri Lake, Darap Village, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Sky Walk, etc.
On the way visit Changay Falls and the famous Singshore Bridge.
Day 5
Full day for leisure activity may include Bird Watching/Yak Riding/Village Tour/Jungle trail/Bonfire /Outdoor cooking/riverside camping etc.
Day 6
Full-day excursion to Dentam Valley and Okhrey. Enjoy the 5 Kms hike to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary from Okhrey and return back to Nature stay.
Day 7
Full-day excursion(by car)to Kaluk, Rinchenpong, Hee Bermiok, Chayatal & some specific unknown places.
Day 8
Full day for leisure activity; may include interaction with the hosting family & village people; visiting their home, tasting local fruits/cuisine/drinks & experiencing the present tribal life with more than 100 years old local inhabitants.
Day 9
Proceed for an exciting day hike to the hidden gem inside dense Oak & Rhododendron forest, Mainebass Waterfalls. This prehistoric nature trail is a paradise for Bird Watching and feeling the tranquil nature around… return back to Naturestay at day end.
Day 10
As the tour almost ends, today is the day to bid Farewell. Spend the morning shopping & hopping local souvenirs or Food Items/Drinks.
In the evening, enjoy the Bonfire with Tribal Folk Music & Dance along with local drinks (Optional).
Day 11
After breakfast, leave your Home away from home, the Naturestay with nothing but sweet memories; and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station

a year agoHi, We stayed at this unique place for 1 day. Special thanks goes to Mr. T T Lepcha & family for his great hospitality, even visiting odd hours in midnight to check our well being, personally taking us to the chutzpha river. However I need to bring to the property organizer regarding the urgent need to revamp the bathroom & improve it's condition. Also the second room was too small for fit our things & had very little space to move around. Uttahrey & this location was great, prestine, peaceful.
