4 months agoThe location is no doubt picturesque but the service could have been a bit better. Like they could provide their guests with heaters in the rooms. It was too cold when we visited in March end. The food could also be improved. We had the same food for two days.

I arrived on a misty, cold day, and was instantly warmed by the hospitality of Urugen and his family. They welcomed me with a comforting cup of tea, followed by a delicious bowl of thukpa and a refreshing churpi salad. Every meal they served was local, fresh, and absolutely delightful—a true taste of Sikkimese culture. For those planning a workation, the homestay is well-equipped. They have Wi-Fi, and the mobile network signal is strong enough to work without any interruptions. Even though the misty weather hid the views during my stay, I found joy in the cozy ambiance, the vibrant garden filled with beautiful flowers, and the warmth of Tongba and homemade wine. If you’re looking for a blend of work and peace in a serene mountain setting with authentic local hospitality, Royal Barsey Homestay is a gem. Highly recommend it! a year agoFew days ago, I,along with my group of friends had gone for a trek to varsey rhododendron sanctuary and had stayed in this homestay. Away from the hustling and bustling of city life, the place was Quiet,Peaceful and beautiful. A great place for weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the tasty food prepared by the host . In the evening we had bonfire along with some soft music.
