In a cloud free day you will witness the whole sleeping buddhha range. And at last, the behaviour of owner of this homestay is just overwhelming. He is very jolly in nature. The scenic beauty and the majestic view of Kanchenjunga were breathtaking. We highly recommend everyone experience this authentic offbeat homestay in Rinchengpong.

I stayed at the Kanchenjunga Viewpoint Homestay for 3 nights. The location of the homestay is wonderful. It is situated at a height from where one can have clear view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and other snow-capped peaks of the mountain range. The behavior of the owner is very sweet and the food served here was homely, and it tasted good. The room and the washroom was also clean.

*Rinchenpong: The Offbeat Gem* We had originally planned a Pelling–Ravangla trip. But we also wanted to add a quiet, offbeat stop. Our search ended at a small hamlet called Rinchenpong. Then came the hunt for the best place to stay. After a lot of scrolling, we chose _Kanchenjunga View Point Homestay_. It had beautiful photos and glowing Google reviews, but we kept our expectations low. You never know with online pictures, right? After a long journey from NJP, we finally reached around 2–3 pm. And we instantly loved the place. It was small, cozy, and peaceful. We visited in November 2022. Back then, it had 5 rooms, and the owner’s family lived on the property too. They welcomed us so warmly, it felt like visiting relatives. We freshened up and sat down for lunch. We were _so_ hungry that we asked for extra rice 🤣🤣 And without a single frown, they cooked a fresh batch just for us. The owner is one of the humblest people we’ve met. The entire homestay was decorated with colorful orchids — every corner looked like a postcard. In the evening, the whole sky was glittering with stars. They told us, “Wake up at 4 am. The color show will start.” We were so excited we barely slept that night. At around 3:45 am, the show began. It was a memory to cherish forever. As if a magician, a painter, was playing with colors. The sky became a canvas. Shades of gold, pink, and orange spilled over the mighty Kanchenjunga. We had booked three rooms for 7 of us from 3 families. The Sleeping Buddha was clearly visible right from one of the beds. It is the best place to view Kanchenjunga and sleeping buddha range. That morning we realized every single Google review was genuine. Each one was full of happy memories. And we had simply become one of them.
