a month agoPeaceful and Memorable Stay! I had an amazing experience at Kanchunjanga Homestay, Yakten. The location is serene, with stunning views of the Kanchunjanga range. The hosts were incredibly warm and treated me like family. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing. I especially loved the delicious local food and peaceful vibe of the village. If you’re looking for an offbeat, soulful escape in Sikkim, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

6 months agoKanchenjunga View Homestay is one of the best homestay in Yakten Village. The host Mr. Kapil Ji is a very friendly and humble person. The Kanchenjunga Mountain was visible from the room and we were lucky enough to witness it. The meals were prepared with vegetables freshed picked from their garden which were grown organicaly. We were able to enjoy some truly delicious authentic food of that region in the homestay. The Homestay also has a diverse greenhouse hoisting a number of orchids and other valuable medicinal plants. It is a heaven for nature lovers like me.

7 months agoOne of the best homestay in the area, the ambience is great, the owner of the property is very welcoming, friendly and always has a smile on. Me and my friends had a great experience here for 2 days. There are also various kinds of flowers and plants to see. I recommend this homestay to everyone who visits this place.

10 months agoI had the best stay at Yakten. The mesmerizing view from the balcony and the serene nature truly healed my mind. It's a perfect place for nature lovers to spend a leisurely two days. The hospitality of the owner, Mr. Kapil Chhetri, and his family was incredible. If you wish to experience local people and local food, this is the best destination for you. The delicious dishes made from fresh, organically grown vegetables by the homestay owner were a treat to my taste buds. The rooms were very clean, although the interiors were too simple. Please don't expect any luxury in this regard. The only downside was that the rooms could have been a little better (1 star less for that), but it was not at all a negative for me and my wife. We stayed there for 2 days (4th and 5th Oct 2024) and enjoyed the stay, the organic farming, the flowers, the orchids, and the tranquil nature a lot.

2 years agoVery homely environment. We had cozy, comfy and clean rooms with Delicious Food to top it all off. The early morning view of the snow clad mountains through the curtains of grey was poetic. We loved the early morning walks through the offbeat route into the nearby pine hills, the scene of the layered silhouettes peaking through the dense fog was very enchanting. And we got to buy many souvenirs plants from the local nurseries. it was very fulfilling experience and we hope to visit again.
