a month agoWe really enjoyed our stay here with family. The hospitality, food, and peaceful homely atmosphere made it a memorable experience. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. The host, Mr. Shiva Gurung, is a very nice and hospitable person. Highly recommend spending at least a day exploring the village — the village walk is a must-do! You’ll see beautiful farms of cardamom, chilli, kiwi, and a variety of flowers. We even had lunch at a local’s home and enjoyed authentic village-style food — a wonderful experience! A small suggestion — for larger groups, the food service could be even smoother if the pot sizes were slightly bigger. The only thing to note is that the village doesn’t have a direct Kanchenjunga view. As for travel, the road conditions from Siliguri were quite poor during our visit. It took around 8 hours due to landslides, one-way traffic. Overall, a great stay — perfect for anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine local hospitality. 🌿✨

6 months agoWe had a wonderful experience during our stay at Darap Village. The homely, delicious food made us feel truly welcomed. The property is located a bit away from the main Pelling market, making it an ideal choice for those looking to explore authentic village life and enjoy some peace and quiet. The warm send-off we received added a personal touch to our stay. The only suggestion I would make is to consider upgrading the bathroom facilities for added comfort. Overall, a memorable and heartwarming stay.
