6 years agoOne has to do a somewhat tiresome trek on a steep trail from the road, not at all suitable for elderly people. The view from the homestay is, however, awesome. Maintenance is very poor. Food served is tasty but often less in quantity.

4 years agoMind blowing. If nothing else, visit this property for the hanging deck and cherish mouth watering, heavenly, exquisite.........super duper delicious veg dishes. Trust me you will be simply blown away. Being a hardcore non-vegan, I am saying this

a year agoChalamthang is a village in Namchi district of Sikkim and is located 102 km. approx. from New Jalpaiguri Station. It isΒ half an hour drive from Singtham, its nearest town and it is totally off beat destination. Chalamthang has adopted Community Based Homestay since the year 2015.Chalamthang has started the initiative to become cleanest organic village in Sikkim in the year 2018. They served food from their own cultivation. Food quality was also very good.

2 years agoA wonderful little hamlet situated at South Sikkim. A short drive from Singtam will take you there. This homestay is as serene as it gets, was there with my group for a couple of days. Mr Amrit Sharma is a treasure of knowledge and his energy and love for his village is infectious. Lovely rooms, great views, pure organic traditional Veg meals and the ever smiling girl Nisha always carrying out all your tantrums will surely make ur day...
